There was nothing unusual in the way Jono Lancaster was brought into this world. His birth was like that of any newborn. Though that was the case, it was not expected that he could be so different from other babies up to the point of being abandoned by his parents. That happened 36 hours from the time he was given birth to.
At the time of his birth, he had the TCS (Treacher Collins Syndrome). This condition made him to have a disfigured face. As revealed by the Genetics Home Reference, the development of tissues and bones is affected by this disorder and statics have shown that in 50,000 births, 1 is a victim of this disorder. Though one’s physical condition is affected, one’s mental development is not interfered with.
Since Jono grew up missing the parental love that any child deserves, he had a lot of bitterness in his heart and that meant he was always depressed. Later in life, he discovered that he could inspire those around him with his condition. Since then, he has visited different regions of the world, creating TCS’ awareness and inspiring those with the condition. He hopes by doing so, he will make this world a better place to live in for everyone. Now he has the family he longed to have and is happy.
