It’s now official, you’re successful!
I’m pretty sure that if someone asked you how successful you think you are, you would tend to voice it way below how other people think of you. In other words, you’re more successful than you think!
To prove that, the Strayer University and Aplus embarked on a mission to redefine the meaning of success as described in the English dictionary of Merriam Webster. Apparently, 9 out of 10 American can only think of themselves as successful only if they command respect, fame, and are wealthy, and that’s the description this particular dictionary tends to go with.
The experiment targeted people’s loved ones, who were asked to rate success rate of the person in question. The results were just incredible. Turns out most people don’t recognize their own success but others do. That’s really interesting because it basically means that the Webster English dictionary is missing some points here.
